Healthy Habits

It is important as parents, guardians, teachers, and coaches that we encourage our teens to develop healthy habits in all areas.  Success is intentional and a reflection of the way we carry ourselves in all areas of our lives. Contact ACE Impact and find out how we can help develop healthy habits in your teens!

Here are a couple of tips to get your started:
1. Be Proactive
Assist them with getting into the habit of tackling something becomes a problems or develops into something much bigger than it needed to be

2. Begin with Vision
Sometimes our youth need to start with what they want the end result to be. Example: I want to make the volleyball team. That requires a lot of practice and physical conditioning. If they are willing to put in the work for the end result then go for it!

3. Prioritize
Decide what is more important and why. And then do things in that order

4. Attitude
Win or Lose a good attitude is a great and healthy habit

5. Listen twice as much as you speak
A lot can be lost trying to get what you feel out.  Don’t be so quick to throw out a response. Listen, process then respond accordingly.

6. There is an African Proverb that says “If you want to get somewhere fast, go alone. If you want to get far, we go together”.  Learning to work with others can get you further and makes the journey that much more enjoyable.

7. Invest in yourself
Always seek to put forth the best version of your self mind, body, and spirit.  Write in a journal, eat healthier, exercise, pray/meditate.

Learning to develop good habits early makes a big impact!
